WAXING
An individual may wax to remove hair from the root by applying a cover of a sticky substance, such as wax, to adhere to body hair, and then removing this cover to pull out the hair. The best benefit of waxing is that it makes your skin feel smooth and even. Waxing not only removes unwanted hair, but also removes dry and dead skin cells. There is no cutting involved. Waxing doesn’t leave you with any scars that shaving can leave behind. Hair can be removed by waxing. The whole hair is removed, even the roots. Women and girls of all ages wax, including female children as young as eight. Waxing can be performed on any part of the body except the legs, underarms, genitals, torso, and face.

PROCEDURE
- Make sure your hair is the right length. Make sure your hair is about one-quarter to three-quarters of an inch long before waxing. Use safety scissors to trim long hair so that waxing will be less messy and painful.
- Retinoids should not be used before waxing. If you are waxing your face, do not use over-the-counter or prescription skin care products that contain retinol or retinoids two to five days prior to the waxing procedure to avoid removing skin along with the hair.
- Considering ways to reduce discomfort during waxing is important because waxing can be painful for some people. Applying cold packs to the skin 30 minutes before waxing may help relieve pain. Over-the-counter pain medications, such as ibuprofen, may also be helpful.
- Remove dirt, dead skin cells, and skin care products from the area that will be waxed before it is done. Thoroughly dry the area afterwards. The wax will adhere better if the area is clean and dry.
- Apply a small amount of wax to the inside of your wrist and check the temperature by following the directions on the package. You don’t want it to burn or hurt.
- Wax a small portion of your body where there are hairs. When spreading wax, always work in the direction of hair growth.
- After the wax is applied, cover the wax with the cloth strip, pressing down firmly. Wait two to three seconds before removing the cloth.
- Removing the cloth strip is necessary. You can remove the cloth by pulling it off in the opposite direction of hair growth while holding your skin taut with one hand. Ask a friend or relative to assist you if you need to wax a hard-to-reach spot, such as the underarms.
- If you experience pain after waxing, apply ice packs to soothe your skin, avoid hot baths and showers, wear loose clothing, and apply moisturizer that won’t clog your pores. If you’re looking for a moisturizer, choose a product that is oil-free or non-comedogenic.

Not at all. There is no truth to this. In some cases, waxing actually stops hair growth. Nevertheless, waxing should only be used as a temporary hair removal method since it takes many years of consistently waxing to slow or stop hair growth.
Those with sensitive skin can greatly benefit from waxing if it is done properly. In comparison to many other methods, IE, it is much more gentle on the skin. This includes shaving and at-home depilatory products. The product used or wax used cannot predict who will react. Pre-waxing instructions and post-waxing instructions are very important for people with sensitive skin.
For different services, use different types of wax. Hard wax is usually used in waxing services, which hardens on the skin and is then removed. As the wax is encapsulated within each individual hair, the wax is safe to use on people with sensitive skin.
